ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) telephoned Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and apprised him about the Peshawar airbase attack, Geo News reported.
The air chief informed prime minister that security forces have regained control of the airport after the attack.
Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf acknowledged reaction of forces on the attack.
According to PM House spokesman, the prime minister is monitoring Peshawar situation and is in contact with high-level officials concerned.
