A smart passing-out parade of the Army Air Defence Corps recruits was held at the Malir Cantonment here on Friday. According to an ISPR press release, Corps Commander Lt Gen Muhammad Zahir-ul-Islam was the chief guest. Addressing the parade, the corps commander dilated upon the value of dedicated training and hard work with an aim to adopt modern techniques of warfare to maintain the cutting edge over all adversaries. He spoke at length about the development of Air Defence as an effective arm of Pakistan Army and urged the passing out recruits to show utmost vigilance and devotion in undertaking any task assigned to them. The corps commander advised the young soldiers to continue upholding glorious traditions of Pakistan Army, which is taking on internal and external security challenges in present environments. He also gave away prizes to the outstanding recruits. During the course of the parade, recruits showed high level of coordination and mastery over drill. Among others who attended were a large number of army officers, junior commissioned officers, jawans and relatives of the passing out cadets.
