PAF PILOT LAID TO REST WITH FULL MILITARY HONOURS

Okara – Funeral parade of late Squadron Leader Masood Hussain (Shaheed), who embraced shahadat in an air crash on January 17, 2012 in Turkey, was held at PAF Base Lahore on Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by PAF Directorte of Media Affairs here, Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharief,

Air Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Vice Chief of Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force and Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Babur Hizlan were present at the occasion. A smartly turned out contingent of PAF presented the guard of honour to the coffin of Shaheed.

Earlier, the casket of the Shaheed was brought from Turkey by a special Turkish Air Force aircraft. Large
number of Turkish Air Force officers accompanied the Shaheed from Turkey.
Later, the Shaheed was buried with full military honors in his native town Baseerpur (Okara). BaseCommander Lahore
laid floral wreath on the grave of Shaheed on behalf of Chief of the Air Staf.
