CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif met Mr. Mohsin, who topped the Punjab University in BA exams.

Mr Mohsin earned Rs. 400 per day by Working on a Tandoor.

CM presented him a cheque of 1 million rupees to enable him help himself and his siblings continue their studies. CM also awarded him a house at Aashiyana Housing Scheme .

Three more bodies of Shaheed soldiers were recovered from Gayari sector of Siachen

Three more bodies of Shaheed soldiers were recovered from Gayari sector of Siachen bringing the total number of bodies recovered so far to 78.

According to a spokesman of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), three more bodies of the martyred soldiers were recovered during the on-going search operation at Gayari sector. The total number of recovered bodies is now 78. The identity of the bodies was under process.

It may be mentioned here that 139 soldiers including some civilians of 6 Northern Light Infantry Battalion came under a huge snow slide early morning on Saturday April 7, 2012 in Gayari sector near Skardu.

Gen.Kayani Attends Concluding Session of Gujranwala Corps War Games


hief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Gujranwala, last night, to attend the concluding session of Gujranwala Corps War Games.
According to Military, the War Games being conducted at various Corps Headquarters are part of the Azm-e-Nau series exercises. This year’s Azm-e-Nau series started with the Central Command War Games in May, which comprised multiple planning and conduct sessions attended by senior Army and PAF officers. The process will continue, at other Command and Corps Headquarters, to review and validate operational plans in the light of current threat spectrum.
Later, today, COAS visited Army Marksmen Unit at Jhelum, a newly raised organization aimed at ensuring that basic shooting skills in the Army are not only maintained, but improved in a scientific and progressive manner.
Earlier, on arrival, COAS was received by Lieutenant General Raheel Sharif, Commander Gujranwala Corps.

Maj Shoaib



Maj Shoaib who survived the Mi 17 crash with 90% burns left for this eternal abode yesterday . After the crash he pulled out 2 men who have both survived and walked to the ambulance before collapsing unconscious. Unable to open his eyes, he told his wife to take care of his mother and 2 daughters before he was evacuated to Kharian Army burn hospital. He asked about Amir, his co pilot and coursemat
e who didnt survive the crash. Multiple heart attacks, swellings and infections finaly took him from us. His heroic act of valor in saving his crew while he himself burned will be not be forgotten..
May ALLAH TA'ALA Reward him immensely.. Ameen Summa'Ameen

Join Pakistan Army as Doctor [Short Service Commission 2012]


Pakistan Army is recruiting medical doctors through short service Commission, registration has started on 30 Jul to 23 Aug 2012,
The Doctors will be appointed as General Duty Medical Officers(GDMOs)(Male) as Captains.
Qualification is MBBS or equivalent qualifications recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC).
Age is 28 years on 01November 2012.
Relaxable upto 35 Years in case of better qualification / experience.

c. NATIONALITYCitizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir / Gilgit - Biltistan. Upon final selection candidates with dual nationality will have to surrender nationalities other than Pakistani.

d. PHYSICAL STANDARDS(1) Minimum Height

(a) Male Candidates - 5’ - 4” (162.5 cm)

(2) Weight - As per the Body Mass Index

2. INELIGIBILITY CONDITIONSa. Twice rejected by GHQ Selection Board. (However, candidates attaining higher qualification shall be granted additional third chance).

b. Declared medically unfit by concerned CMH / Appeal Medical Board.

c. Individual withdrawn / resigned / discharged from Armed Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force) training academies / institutions on the grounds of discipline,character, medical inefficiency, weak profile or declared unsuitable.

d. Individuals dismissed / removed from any other government service.

e. Convicted by a Court of Law for an offence involving moral turpitude.

3. REGISTRATION AND PRELIMINARY SELECTION PROCEDURE.Candidates can either register through Internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs). 
Following procedure will be adopted :-

a. REGISTRATION THROUGH INTERNETA candidate can register on website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk. Date and time of test shall be intimated on internet, for which the individual should have an e-mail account. Candidates will report on exact date and time given for preliminary test on computerized roll no slip. Date once given will not be changed. Candidates will also bring along documents mentioned in para 6 and will pay prospectus fee on the day of test. Candidates MUST attain working knowledge of computer as registration and tests will be conducted on computers.

b. REGISTRATION AT AS&RCsThe candidates may report at nearest AS&RCs for registration / allotment of roll no alongwith necessary documents mentioned in para 6 and the prospectus fee for completion of registration formalities. The candidates will bring these documents on the day of test as well.

d. WRITTEN / INTELLIGENCE TESTSProfessional Written test and Intelligence / Personality tests based on multiple choice questions will be conducted at AS&RCs from 28 to 29 August 2012.

e. Preliminary Medical TestsThe candidates will undergo initial medical test at AS&RCs.

4. FURTHER SELECTIONCandidates who are selected by AS&RCs will be called for interview by GHQ Selection Board at Quetta, Karachi, Multan, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Peshawar. Medical examination of recommended candidates will be carried out at nearby CMHs. The final selection will be made at GHQ on the basis of candidate’s overall performance.

5. TRAINING PERIOD AT AT ARMY MEDICAL CORPS (AMC) CENTRE22 weeks training at AMC Centre Abbottabad

6. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT AS&RCsa. Original certificates / detailed Marks Sheets alongwith two attested photocopies of each educational certificate / degree / diploma.

b. Two attested photo copies of registration certificate of PM&DC.

c. Two attested photo copies of house job certificate, if already done.

d. Candidates serving in Govt Institutions/ Departments will render No Objection Certificate of the concerned Establishment.

e. Attested photo copy of domicile.

f. Photo copy of Computerised National Identity Card.

g. 6 x coloured photos duly attested (front and back).

h. Crossed postal order of Rs. 100.00 in favour of Director General Personnel Administration (DGPA), GHQ Rawalpindi.

NOTE. Old National Identity Card will not be accepted.

7. BONDFinally selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve the Army for a minimum period of 5 years. The applicability of bond will commence on successful completion of basic military training at AMC Centre Abbottabad.
