How To Join ISI

A major part of our nation aspiers to serve the motherland as a part of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI). PakSoldiers.com receives many emails on a daily basis, featuring curious youngsters, asking about the procedure to join ISI.
Well, there are two ways to join ISI:
1. The indirect way
2. The Direct way
First we’ll discuss the indirect procedure:
If you are passionate to serve your motherland, you ‘ll surely achieve it somehow. Join ISI indirectly requires joining first, the armed forces of Pakistan. Be it army, navy, or the air force; members of all armed forces can join ISI, whether they are Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCO’s), or the Non Commissioned Officers (NCO’s).
Officers/JCO’s/NCO’s have to apply for admission. After taking permission from the Unit Officers Commandings, they appear in a basic test which on clearing, they are sent into the Inter-Services Intelligence School. After finishing the intelligence course, they can apply to be posted in Field Intelligence Units (FIU) or in the directorate of Military/Air/Naval intelligence. Then they wait and hope that their performance is good enough to be invited to the ISI for a temporary posting. Based on their performance in the military and the temporary posting with ISI, they are then offered a more permanent position.
Senior ISI officers with ranks of Major and above are only assigned to the ISI for no more than two to three years to curtail the attempt to abuse their power. Almost all of the Director-Generals of the ISI have never served in the organization before being appointed by the military commanders to lead it. ISI also monitors former, current and retired military officers who at one point or another, held sensitive positions and had access to classified data. However in some special circumstances, officers with outstanding achievements are given an extended appointment and even a lifetime (till 60 years of age) job.
Now we come to the direct procedure:
For civilians, recruitment is advertised and is jointly handled by the Federal Public Services Commission (FPSC) and civilian ISI agents are considered employees of the Ministry of Defense. The FPSC conducts various examinations testing the candidates’ knowledge of current affairs, English and various analytical abilities. Based on the results, the FPSC shortlists the candidates and sends the list to the ISI which then, conducts the initial background checks. The selected candidates are then invited for an interview which is conducted by a joint committee comprising both ISI and FPSC officials.
Those candidates who pass the interview, then have to go through rigorous fitness, medical and psychological evaluations. Once the candidate clears these evaluations, the ISI performs a very thorough background check on the candidate before being offered to join the ISI. Security clearance is granted once the candidate accepts the offer. Recruited agents then go to the Inter-Services Intelligence School for basic training following which, they are employed on an initial one year probationary period. However, civilian operatives are not allowed to rise above the equivalent of the rank of Major and are mostly assigned to Joint Intelligence X (JIX), Joint Intelligence Bureau (JIB) and Joint Counterintelligence Bureau (JCIB) departments and the rest of the departments are solely headed by the armed forces though there have been rare cases in which civilians have been assigned to those departments.
If you are willing to join the ISI, currently Pakistan Army is offering commission for 131 PMA Long Course. Join army and later, apply for the ISI. click here..http://pafnp.blogspot.com/2012/10/join-pak-army-through-pma-long.html

CHACHA PAKISTANI PASSES AWAY – Chacha Pakistani Baba Mehar Din....

CHACHA PAKISTANI PASSES AWAY – Chacha Pakistani Baba Mehar Din

Innalillahe Inna alehe Rajeoon! Baba Mehr Deen passes away today! Recite Fatiha !

In 2009, we had written this tribute to Baba Mehar deen:

"If you want to see the face to true love and selfless sacrifice for Pakistan, look at Baba Mehar deen at Wagah border Lahore. He is there everyday for the last 60 years after sacrificing all he had for this sacred home for the Muslims. He has never asked w

hat Pakistan has given him but have dutifully sacrificed all he had. But we know what Pakistan has given him.

Pakistan has given him dignity, Izzat and a base to challenge and confront the Hindus who slaughtered millions of helpless muhajireen in 1947. Now he goes there every day to wait for this missing children and to challenge the Hindus till the last day of his life. Look into his eyes and see the love for the country oozing out of his frail body. His soul remains immersed in love and his Ishq is this sarzameen we call Pakistan.

Baba Mehar deen, your sacrifices are not in vein. You remain the most dangerous threat for the enemies of Pakistan for you continue to revive our hopes, faith and belief in the sacrifices of our forefathers for this beloved land of ours. We swear by Allah that we will not let your sacrifices go waste, never to betray your love and faith and inshallah will go back once again with the flag you hold to retake what you left behind. Allah be our witness and protector."

yesterday, Pakistan is sad. Baba Mehar Deen, your sons will keep this Sabz Hilai parcham high, always and forever InshAllah. You have lived a dignified life in the love of Pak Sarzameen and challanging the enemies of Rasul Allah (sm) every day. Take some rest now. We will carry the flag! We promise..

Recite Fatiha !

Emails, calls to be monitored within 90 days in Pakistan

The government has given a 90-day deadline to the operators and Pakistan Telecommunication to begin monitoring of all emails, telephone calls and other communications with the rest of the world, said daily TheNews on Friday

The paper said the government has assigned PTCL and other operators to install monitoring equipment by the end of this year for checking voice and email communications from abroad and the services of the country’s spy agency will be used basically to check and curb blasphemous and obscene websites on the Internet.

Sikandar Naqi, senior executive vice president told the newspaper “the regulator, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), has assigned 14 LDIs, including PTCL, to install this monitoring equipment,”.

He said the PTA had installed a monitoring system to check 15 gigabytes (GB) traffic coming from international routes at a cost of $10 million in 2008. Now this international traffic from abroad has increased to 275 GB so the cost of monitoring could be higher.

EU Awarded 2012 Nobel Peace Prize, Norway’s NRK Reports

The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the 2012 Peace Prize to the European Union, Norway’s national broadcaster NRK reported, without saying where it got the information.
Geir Lundestad, the director of the Nobel Institute, said at the Nobel center in Oslo that he had “absolutely no comment to anything.” Spokespeople for European Union President Herman Van Rompuy and European Commission President Jose Barroso had no immediate comment on the Norwegian report. The prize is scheduled to be announced at 11 a.m. in Oslo.
Committee Chairman Thorbjoern Jagland said in an interview in Aftenposten published today that the decision was unanimous and not particularly complicated without naming the winner.
“It’s unfortunate that they aren’t able to keep quiet,” said Oeivind Stenersen, a Nobel historian. “You could argue the EU shouldn’t get it because they are in the midst of a crisis but that’s precisely why they would need a boost.”
Past peace laureates include U.S. President Barack Obama in 2009 and Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo in 2010. Last year, the prize was awarded to Liberia’s President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Liberian peace activist Leymah Gbowee and Yemen’s Tawakkul Karman, a human rights activist and journalist.
Annual prizes for achievements in physics, chemistry, medicine, peace and literature were established in the will of Alfred Nobel, the Swedish inventor of dynamite who died in 1896. The first prizes were handed out in 1901.
A prize for economics was established in 1968 by Sweden’s Riksbank. All awards except for the peace prize are awarded in Stockholm, and this year’s awards come with 8 million kronor ($1.2 million) of prize money.

Kayani’s Official Trip To Russia – Key Areas to Look Forward?

Although, ISPR has not released details of General Kayani’s visit to Russia, defence sources revealed that during his visit, the potential for enhancing defence co-operation between the two countries would be explored. Purchase of military hardware from Russia to meet Pak military needs in war against terror will be a major point of discussion, they said.
Pakistan is keen to seek Russia’s co-operation to upgrade some of its military hardware, including Mi-17 helicopters and T-80ud tanks and Pakistan also wants to have military-to-military exchanges with Russia, sources added. Earlier, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt attended the centenary celebrations of Russian Air Force in August this year. The Air Chief was invited by his Russian counterpart to attend the celebrations that were marked with a mega Air Show at famous Zhukovsky airfield. The airfield is globally known as the venue of the Max Air Show, which hosted Aerial and Static displays of vintage as well as fifth generation combat aircraft.
General Kayani is expected to meet President Vladimir Putin, who recently called off a scheduled visit to Pakistan that led to the postponement of the scheduled quadrilateral summit of Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan in Islamabad on October 02-03. The Foreign Office of Pakistan has indicated that the dates of Putin’s visit will be rescheduled through diplomatic channels. However, according to Press Secretary of Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s trip to Islamabad is not even planned. Possible date of President’s visit to Pakistan is subject to separate negotiations”, Russian media quoted Peskov.
This will be the Pakistan Army chief’s first visit to Russia since 2009, when he had made a trip at the invitation of his counterpart. The visit will help give a push to Islamabad’s efforts towards improving relations with Moscow ahead of the pull out of foreign troops from Afghanistan. Sources said Kayani’s previous visit had helped prepare the grounds for a meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and the then President Dmitry Medvedev in 2010. Colonel General Alexander Postnikov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Ground Forces, visited Pakistan in May last year. This was the first visit by a senior Russian military commander to Pakistan in many years.(Business Recorder)
